The Auto Sleep utility, found under the Options menu, is used to set the time a drive and disk can be idle before the drive automatically spins down.
The Auto Sleep time can be set to "never" or to a time in minutes. When the disk or drive is not accessed by the PC for that amount of time, the drive automatically spins the disk down. When the disk is accessed again it automatically spins back up to operating speed. Auto Sleep can be used to prolong the life of your disks and to save power.
NOTE: The "Auto Sleep" utility is not available for all combinations of Iomega drives and disks.

DISK COPY HELP% PRESS <F3> TO EXIT HELP
CAUTION: "Disk Copy" erases all information on the target disk unless "Append Copy" is selected.
Use the following procedure to copy a disk:
1. Select the source disk icon in the main utility window.
2. Select "Disk Copy..." from the Drive menu.
3. Select the source disk from the source disk menu. (Single click the drive letter in the pull down selection box to select a different source.)
4. Select the target disk from the target disk menu. (Single click the drive letter in the pull down selection box to select a different target.)
5. Select "Verify" if you want the copy verified.
6. Select "Append Copy" if you want to copy the source disk to the target disk at the "Destination Path" specified. This will NOT erase the target disk before copying. This WILL replace files of the same name on the target with files from the source.
7. If "Append Copy" is selected, enter the "Destination Path" that you want the source disk copied to. If no path is entered, the source disk will be copied into the target disk's root directory.
8. Select the "Start" button to begin the copy.
Types of Copies:
- Disk Size Same + Disk Type Same = Image Copy
- Disk Size Same + Disk Type Different = File Copy
- Disk Size Different + Disk Type Same = File Copy
- Disk Size Different + Disk Type Different = File Copy
- Floppy to Iomega Disk = File Copy or Append Copy
- Hard Disk to Iomega Disk = File Copy or Append Copy
- Iomega Disk to Floppy = Append Copy
- Iomega Disk to Hard Disk = Append Copy
"Image Copy" = Exact duplicate of source on target. Very fast.
"File Copy" = Copies all files from source to target including hidden and system files. Slower than image copy. (If the source is a bootable disk then after the copy is complete the target will in most cases also be bootable.)
"Append Copy" = Copies all files from source into the "Destination Path" on the target including hidden and system files. This copy will NOT erase the target before performing the copy. Slower than image copy.
NOTE: Disk Copy works differently with different combinations of Iomega drives and disks. For specific information, please refer to the Quick Reference Card. When copying to a Floppy or Hard Disk they must be previously formatted.
